Instructions

Proper Position

  • Set the cable cross machine to a low pulley position (near the floor).
  • Place an incline bench (around 30-45 degrees) between the two pulleys.
  • Sit on the bench with your feet firmly planted on the floor and your back pressed against the backrest.
  • Hold the cable handles with a neutral grip (palms facing each other), arms extended upward, slightly bent at the elbows, above your chest.

Movement

  • Slowly open your arms in an arcing motion, guiding them outward and slightly downward, until they are aligned with or slightly below your torso.
  • Focus on stretching your chest while maintaining a slight bend in your elbows.
  • Bring the handles back to the starting position by contracting your chest, following the same arcing motion.
  • Maintain control throughout the movement to avoid jerky motions.
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Breathing

  • Inhale as you open your arms.
  • Exhale as you bring the handles back to the starting position.
