Instructions

Proper Position

  • Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Slowly rise onto the balls of your feet, engaging your calves.
  • Keep your back straight, core engaged, and arms at your sides or slightly raised for balance.

Movement

  • Walk slowly forward while staying on the balls of your feet. Take small steps to maintain balance.
  • Focus on contracting your calves with each step.
  • Continue walking for the desired distance or duration.
  • Slowly lower your heels back to the ground when finished.

Breathing

  • Breathe naturally throughout the exercise.

Tips

  • Look straight ahead to maintain good posture and avoid leaning forward.
  • If you’re a beginner, use a support (like a wall or bar) to help with balance.
  • To increase difficulty, hold a light dumbbell in each hand or extend the duration of the walk.
  • Keep movements slow and controlled to maximize calf engagement.
