Proper Position
- Lie on a flat bench with a dumbbell in each hand, using a neutral grip (palms facing each other).
- Position the dumbbells close to your chest, just above your sternum, with your elbows tucked close to your body.
- Keep your feet firmly planted on the floor, your back slightly arched, and your core engaged for stability.
Movement
- Press the dumbbells upward in a straight line, bringing them slightly closer together at the top of the movement.
- Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position, keeping your elbows close to your body.
- Focus on contracting your triceps and chest throughout the movement.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Breathing
- Inhale as you lower the dumbbells.
- Exhale as you press the dumbbells upward.
