Instructions

Proper posture

  • Stand with your knees slightly bent.
  • Bend your torso forward until it's almost parallel to the floor, your buttocks slightly back, your back slightly arched but straight.
  • Your arms are extended towards the floor, with a dumbbell in each hand.

Movement

  • Without moving the rest of your body, raise your arms out to the sides until they are parallel to the floor.
  • Slowly return to the starting position.

Breathing

  • Inhale before raising the dumbbells, then hold your breath as you raise them.
  • Exhale on descent and at the end of the movement.
