Instructions
Proper Position
- Step onto the ClimbMill or stair-climbing machine, keeping your feet centered on the steps.
- Lightly rest your hands on the handles for balance without leaning on them.
- Engage your core and keep your back straight, with your gaze forward.
Movement
- Start by walking slowly, stepping one stair at a time to get used to the machine's motion.
- Gradually increase the speed or intensity according to your comfort and endurance level.
- Focus on smooth, controlled stepping, pushing through your heel to engage your glutes and quads.
- Once comfortable, vary your steps:
- Climb two steps at a time for increased intensity.
- Slightly rotate your body to target your obliques.
- Add light weights to work your upper body.
Breathing
- Inhale deeply during the effort.
- Exhale steadily with each step.
Tips
- Avoid leaning forward or heavily relying on the handles, as it reduces the exercise's effectiveness.
- Keep your eyes forward to maintain good posture.
- If you're a beginner, start with 5 to 10-minute sessions and gradually increase the duration.
- Wear proper footwear with good cushioning to protect your joints.
