Instructions

Proper Position

  • Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your toes slightly pointed outward.
  • Rise onto the balls of your feet, engaging your calves, and hold this position.
  • Keep your back straight, core engaged, and your hands in front of you for balance or on your hips.

Movement

  • Slowly bend your knees to lower into a squat position while staying on the balls of your feet. Lower until your thighs are nearly parallel to the floor or within your range of motion.
  • Slowly rise back to the starting position, keeping your heels elevated and maintaining balance.
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Breathing

  • Inhale as you lower yourself.
  • Exhale as you return to the starting position.
