Instructions

Proper position

  • Lie on the floor or a bench and bend your legs, bending your knees and keeping your feet together.
  • Place your hands on your legs.

Movement

  • Contract your abdominal muscles to lift your knees towards your chest until your thighs are roughly vertical.
  • Wait a second at the point of contraction, then slowly lower your legs back to the starting position.

Breathing

  • Inhale as you lower your knees.
  • Exhale as you rise.
